Fitness Challenge: Day 2

I know I should be all enthusiastic and cheerleadery, but honestly, it's hard for me to get excited about working out until I start seeing and feeling the results. And right now, all I'm feeling is tired and sore. LOL

I did get my new pedometer last night. It wasn't even shipped via FedEx, but by regular mail. So there was no reason for them to not deliver it Saturday. *sigh* It's fine. I have it now, and I just have to get used to wearing one again. It's bigger than the ones I used to wear, but it can also ride in my purse when I'm out, so it'll work. I do love that I don't have to worry about remembering to record my steps every night. It keeps the data, resets at midnight, and has a program I can upload my data to. I'm such a gadget girl. If you're looking for something smaller, and have more to spend, I hear the FitBit* is excellent.

So, this morning (after an hour of pushing the snooze button), I did a Kathy Smith Pilates workout. It was only 28 minutes, and I considered doing the second workout on the DVD, but it's only my second day, and I'm not trying to kill myself. My perfectionism is trying to kick in, but I'm kicking it out.

We only had one person check in yesterday! What happened to everyone? It's too early to quit! LOL Let us know how you did today. If you're blogging about it, feel free to leave your link in the comments.

I walked for 30 minutes yesterday and I am looking forward to doing it again today! Thanks Amanda for setting up this challenge. And to anyone wondering, the FitBit is awesome! I am waiting on my replacement one to come in the mail right now. I lost mine a few weeks ago. The company will replace a lost or damaged FitBit for free with proof of purchase, so if you get one, be sure to save your receipt!

Yay,Dawn! And that's great news about the FitBit! I won't replace this one until it breaks, but it's on my wish list. LOL

I tried to make it a family event and walk the track yesterday. It didn't go well. My oldest wanted to go to the basketball court and my youngest wanted to go to the playground. I did begin my Prayfit 33minutes for 33days video. It went well! I'm not giving up on my family, just have to figure it out. Thanks Amanda.

I did my workout this afternoon. Denise (Austin) is still my friend here. She's deceptive in her innocence. Her cardio stuff is wearing me out.As I "sit" here I'm wearing my Sportline pedometer. I'll have to check out the fitbit. I really need to work out in the am.
Oh here are my details => http://www.beautyformommy.com/?p=395

ShonTrey, don't worry about the kids. If they're on the playground and the basketball court, they're still moving. Can you see them from the track? Or let them play in the middle for a few minutes while you walk, then let them have some time for their activities?

If I didn't work out first thing in the morning, I wouldn't get it done at all. :-) I kind of admire people who can fit it into their day.
